Just look at his most recent collection. It combines the faded beauty of the roaring twenties and the oft-referenced Grey Gardens with fierce Cabaret-esque glamour, blended with a hint of flamenco and a touch of Lolita. In the hands of anyone else, this mix of themes would be an absolute disaster; Galliano, however, spins it into ultra luxe gold.
I actually tend to find runway shows kind of boring, but I have a feeling that a Galliano show is much closer to theater than fashion. You can see the rest of the looks and detail shots at style.com.
