White After Labor Day: Hard & Fast Rule, Or Outdated Advice?

How do you feel about wearing white after Labor Day? Will you retire your white pants, skirts, and shoes on Monday, or will you keep wearing them as long as the weather's appropriate? Personally, I think that as long as it stays warm, wearing white is a-okay, and if it hits 90 degrees in September, I'll probably be wearing my white linen wide leg pants (seriously, nothing is as cool and comfortable as white linen).

However, there are plenty of people who feel otherwise - so what do you think? Will you break the rules?

I will probably keep white going until the official first day of summer, that is, an extra couple of weeks.

I'll be changing to my fall bag this weekend, though, because I need the additional space. With fall comes added responsibility.

The only thing white I put away are my shoes, which I think I only have one pair this year, anyway.

I rather think of white linen pants as a seasonal linen item, not a white item, so I keep wearing them throughout September too.

As long as the weather cooperates, I'm planning to wear a white pantsuit to an event on Tuesday. :-)
