The Evil Pants

Now that spring has officially sprung, it is time to break all those summery clothes you've been dying to wear all winter. Chiffon skirts, linen, and pastel colors are all making their first appearances of the season. However, there is something sinister lurking in the shadows of spring and summer closets - capris, cropped pants, and perhaps the most dangerous of all, the bermuda short.

Just say no to these leg-shortening, thigh-fattening, and all-together unflattering pants. It may be difficult, as shorts of all kinds are very popular right now, but you will be happier in the end. Do you really want to look back on photos of yourself from spring/summer 2006 and say "What the hell was I thinking? Those shorts don't even look that good on models!"

Read more on the evils of these stunted little pants here.

Amen, sister! I sometimes see these items (cropped pants, certain blouse styles, etc.) and they look quite unflattering on a size 2 model: thighs bulge, hips widen, legs appear shorter, waist is obscured... Now, unless I actually want to look fatter, there's no way I'm touching those!

Oh boy! I'm definitely dreading this trend. Didn't we all learn to throw out our shorts a few years ago? What happened???

What cracks me up, is that I look back at pictures of me from like 1986 and wonder why I ever wore Bermuda Shorts, nevermind 2006! lol.
